The past tenses are no less complicated than the present tenses. However, these two big categories have very similar rules, so that if you have mastered the rules and usage of the present tenses, chances are you will find those of the past tenses just as easy. Nevertheless, constant practice is still needed to fully grasp the significance, usage, and meaning of the current lesson.Wow this was another challenging lesson because any rules that there might be (in the case of modals for example) are extremely difficult to explain to low level learners unless the teacher has total grasp of the concepts.
