This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit was on lesson planning. It covered the reasons why we should have a lesson plan, and how to construct a lesson plan; providing information that should go on a lesson plan. It reviewed the engage, study and activate method. I've learned that it takes work on putting together a lesson plan. Its not as easy as some say it is. It requires thought, but one also needs to remember to be flexible. The content in this unit deals with lesson planning of the teacher and how to make sure the student retains what is learned. I have learned that it is good to record your lesson plan so that if you are sick or something happens it will not cause an interruption in the learning of the students. As well as you must be flexible with lessons, but as a teacher gains experience ability will come naturally.
