The lesson highlights receptive skills, specifically discussing reading and listening. These are equally important. It starts by mentioning the reasons for reading and listening, as well as how we read and listen. These are things to keep in mind when teaching. Also, using the ESA method, we learn how to build up to things in a lesson, and elicit good participation to achieve the lesson objective.Doing this subject gave me a better understanding of how pre exist ideas I have effect how i interpret and read things. I had taken for granted that and it has made me understand that when I teach I will need to be aware of that.
The more examples I see of ESA pattern I understand how to implement that myself when I will have a class. I am understanding a lot more from having done this subject/course
