This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit introduces the present, present perfect, present continuous, and present perfect continuous tenses. It suggests some activities that could be used effectively with each verb tense. This has been a useful unit because as a native English speaker I don't really think about using different present tenses of verbs, yet I will need to know the difference when I teach them. I also didn't realize that there are 12 tenses in English.I was already familiar with several of the terms that were used in this unit but it was good to have a quick review. Most of the students aims at passing an official test at the end of the class or at the end of their studies. Therefore it is important to be able to train them in the best possible ways and to know which tests are in vigor. Constantly checking out the level of the students is a good way to know what and how to teach it.
