Unit 6 covers the past tenses. The unit goes over four different past tenses and their usage forms and usages. The four tenses covered are the past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous. I learned that past simple is used for a past action when the time is given or when the time is asked about. Differing from the past simple, the past continuous covers interrupted past actions.This unit discussed the parts of speech of the english language. While I learned majority of the parts of speech in school, I was surprised to see how many specific details I did not remember. In specific, it seems I had to re-learn about prepositions and gerunds. Having both the video and the reading material to help refresh my memory and teach me new ways to remember the parts of speech was very helpful.
