This unit gave great insight on establishing rapport and gave some useful ideas for classroom arrangement. In addition,it gave useful tips on balancing teacher instructions versus student activities. In particular I learned about the horseshoe style set up and how it eases the classroom effect on a student. Similarly, the unit gave great ideas of when to talk versus when to let students talk and how this balance can build rapport.Speaking and writing can be as hard as reading and listening. The ESA lessons can be very complex and i takes a lot of preparation and a clear understanding of each phase. This also depends on the level language and ability to create the appropriate skill set for each class. I still get confused with the phases and the breakdown isn't always clear or simple to understand. Will require a lot of practice when building a lesson plan.
