From this lesson I have refreshed my understanding of the different past tenses; past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous. Some students might have more difficulty with the Past Simple tense due to a lot of irregular verb conjugations, such as \"caught\" or \"wrote\". This unit also provided good examples of exercises for students, such as story telling, using diaries, and mock interviews.Different groups of students will require different skills for the teacher. For example, when teacher beginners the teacher needs to be aware of the students needs, have clear and realistc aims, give very simple and direct instructions and revise constantly. When teaching children, the teacher needs to be aware of various external factors that can be a problem in the classroom, for example problems at home and boredom.
