This unit has been fascinating. The different functions and how a student approaches learning a language were particularly interesting. I will certainly be using the techniques presented within this unit while teaching. The approach to how vocabulary is absorbed from the early stages of learning a new language has always been interesting to me and this unit has given me a better comprehension regarding this initial process for any student.Unit 16 is about conditionals and reported speech. It lists the different types of conditionals, their forms and how they are used. It also covers common mistakes that can be made in learning them. The unit also gives different ways to teach these conditionals. In the last half of the unit, it covers reported and direct speech. It describes how to change the language and tense when you are reporting something that was said to you directly.
