Unit 6 is dedicated to the Past Tenses. There are four Past Tenses in English: Past Simple, Past Continuous, Past Perfect and Past Perfect Continuous. Sometimes it is not easy for English learners to understand the differences between some of the Past Tenses. Another aspect of Past Tenses that represents a difficulty for an English learner is the irregular forms of the verbs in Past Simple and Past Perfect.This section was about teaching reported speech. This is another one of the topics that native English speakers don't always think about. That being said, it can be quite difficult to break down the things we say on a daily basis and then put them in a category like 'present simple' or 'past continuous'. It takes a moment to think about it. Needless to say, its challenging, even for native English speakers.
