This unit has helped me gain more knowledge and better understanding of using past tense. Past tense can be quite tricky for both students and teacher since there are several kinds and each have different meaning. Moreover, the regular and irregular past tense can be quite tricky. However, the work sheets in this task has helped me understand the correct use of past tense to a great extent.In this course, I learned about motivating the students and also controlling students of younger age groups. I have been worried about how I would control the energy in the classroom but the unit has given me good ideas such as: rearranging the desks, giving the problem student the attention he or she craves by putting them to work, etc. I also learned what a good needs analysis looks like.
