This lesson was a very good segway and review of the ESA lesson and the idea that engaged, excited and motivated students will learn more then the students whom are not. I learned that how important it is to look at how students as well as teacher must be receptive to the topics. I learned that although we may use different ways to ingest information we can uses these skills to present language and topics to non native speakers.This unit covers how we listen and read to understand materials. How much we gain from the reading depends on the need of the read and whether they are skimming for content, gathering detailed information, predicting content from the titles or figuring out the content from particular passages. Students who are beginning a new language may need more time with specific vocabulary or sections of text to better understand the reading.
