In this unit we touched on lesson planning and the importance of it in teaching English. A lesson plan provides you with structure, reports of recent lessons and a goal for future and current lessons. It can be used to deal with hurdles that the class may encounter - as well as a lenient and improvising approach to teaching the language. The lesson can never be scripted from start to finish.This unit covered teaching special groups, such as individual study, monolingual and multilingual classes, business English, and beginners. This unit was particularly helpful because it covered how each of these special cases need something different and/or extra from their teacher. This will be helpful in the future to guide students in the right direction in their journey to learn English.
