This unit focuses on different ways of evaluating students' levels and progress. There is information about some of the common external exams as well. Tests are often used for evaluating students. Placement and diagnostic tests are given at the beginning of a course. Later, there will be periodic progress tests on the work covered. Practice tests are for students who will have an external examinationThis unit has taught me ways in which I would construct my lessons, focusing on grammar, vocabulary and function and construction of sentences. I understand how pre planning the ESA method I will be able to engage with the students by making the topic interesting to them, set appropriate tasks to further their knowledge, and then and activity to share what we have all learnt and how we have improved.
