When reporting a statement, there are several forms the statement can be in: zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, third conditional and mixed conditional. The tense that the statement is said in determines the tense in which the statement is reported in. These two tenses are no always the same. For example, if the direct statement is the past continuous, the reported statement would be in the past perfect continuous.I think it was informative to know all different types of tests and their purposes, how they are used in relation to the student's language ability. I found that most test are well prepared to examine a students reading and writing ability, though to assess a student listening and especially speaking ability, a person doing the assessment in person would be able to do a much more thorough examination of the student than a written test.
