This unit covers common problems (more so types of students) one has while teaching English. The unit gives suggestions as to what one should cover in a student's first lesson or how one should build rapport with a group that already knows each other. Similarly, the unit gives some suggestions for activities for students who are reluctant to participate or may struggle with listening skills.In this unit i learnt and understand key terms and concepts in phonology and phonetics. I've learnt the techniques for indicating and teaching intonation and the stress words. I've learnt about the stress on the first syllable, last syllable and penultimate syllable. in normal speech there are syllables without stress. I've learnt the different techniques for indicating and teaching stress.
