This unit provided a great summary of the present tenses. While I was familiar with the present tenses through the daily use of it, I was never really aware of the specific grammar rules. Knowing the usages will help to teach students the present forms. What I found most helpful were the typical student errors and example activities for the activating stage.This unit focused on the teaching both reading and listening. I'd never thought about the unique challenges that these two skills would present within the teaching environment. But, having gone through this unit i feel more confident in how to engage the students in interesting materials, whether they be authentic or non-authentic, to aid in their learning.
