The future tense seems to be the most complicated of the 3 tenses. Not only does it have the 4 aspect present in the other tenses, it also has the going to be form and uses two present forms to express future meaning. Luckily, there are a number of different time cues to alert the English speaker what tense and therefore what auxiliary verbs and conjugations need to be used.This unit teaches the difference between each tense, and offers teaching strategies. The examples given in this unit allowed me to affirm my knowledge of the various tenses. The unit also offered helpful tips for teaching each tense. It's confusing enough for a native English speaker, let alone someone who speaks another language, so those strategies are absolutely necessary.
