I always thought tenses and its different forms were confusing. Preparing as an ESL teacher, I found ways to teach such complicated methods. These subjects can be presented in an inductive manner with indigenous materials meaningful to the students. Who would have thought that Detective Games and simple matching games can be fun ways to understand Past Tense more. I can't wait to share these ideas with my friends.Understanding the level of the students capabilities before you start teaching is very important. But as the year continues and the learners get more confident, comfortable and better at the language it is crucial for you as a teacher but more for the learners to see what they know and don't know to make sure the work you are doing is not becoming to easy for them or that you are working to fast for the students.
