In this unit I learned the pros and cons of different theories, methodologies and techniques to teach a new language. I also learned different approaches, ideas, activities and games to keep students entertained and interested during the class based on different ages, cultures and levels. Finally I learned different approaches to correct and which are more beneficial at different times.This unit covered teaching special groups English. I thought that it was very helpful and interesting to look at various types of groups/beginners that teachers may encounter and think about different ways to fulfill the various needs of the groups. I think this unit provided a very good base for where to begin teaching special groups; the needs analysis sheet seems especially helpful.
