This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This lesson talks about the two productive skills: speaking and writing. Speaking in class can be very intimidating for some students and this chapter gives us ways to get everyone involved. Writing skills are also discussed at length in this chapter. Foreign language teachers often neglect writing skills or relegate them to homework. Writing is just as important as speaking and both of them deserve a little focus from the teacher. This unit was very useful and informative. It showed me a lot of techniques and methots of teaching in different learning level groups. I found out which techniques can be applied and which activities can be implemented on the different stages of the lesson. In my opinion the Patchwork ESA technique is the most efficient. Patchwork lessons allow for a greater deal of flexibility and provide a nice balance between study and activation.
