This unit presented a very helpful table for modals, the unit continued by then covering the passives, relatives, independent and dependant causes. I didn't feel very confident in this unit, but do feel I understood it to a degree. I had never heard of the three types of intransitive, separable and inseparable before so Imam hoping I have done ok in this unit as I did get slightly confused with these.This lesson continued to use the ESA lesson structure, combining it with an explanation of different types of language skills. I had never thought of dividing a language into separate skills in this way. Also of interest is the notion of authentic versus non-authentic texts. As with most things related to teaching, the lesson needs to be centered on the student, and the choice of text is no different.
