This is a good unit to help the future teacher concentrate on tense, something we can take for granted. the rules are made simple enough and broken down so as to give better instruction to a new student. Sometimes we take the rules for granted since we speak English everyday and this comes easy for us, however is more complicated for a speaker of another language.This unit discusses basic classroom management. There are several different ways to approach a classroom based on size and general goals of the class. The most relevant section for me was in discussing teacher talk time versus student talk time. I teach classes of 30-plus students and I often get in situations where I am the only person talking in my classroom.
