This lesson discusses proper use of equipment. The most basic one is the white board, but one should write clearly, erase writing that is no longer used, use different colors to highlight grammar points, etc. DVDs and the internet (eg. YouTube) can be used for classroom learning and exercises and catches the attention of students. This chapter also provides many useful links for additional resources, worksheets, etc.This lesson discussed the advantages and disadvantages of course books, created materials, and authentic materials. It suggested considerations to keep in mind for each type of material. It also provided several samples of created material from a website. Lastly, it emphasized that even if a course book is used, that one should still supplement and replace material as needed in order to suit the needs of one's students.
