This unit was helpful for understanding the aids available that can help with language learning. Unfortunately I work in a rural area and make of this aids are unavailable in my schools. Once in a while I can show video clips in class as part of a lesson. Now, I understand how much difference smart boards can make in learning (which were in my high school when I was a student).I personally believe lesson planning is important. One does not want to appear rigid, but rather prepared. A teacher needs to keep order and structure to a lesson, giving a bit of freedom but in a structured setting. Being organised is vital to the imparting of information to students. Even though teaching can be done in a fun and enjoyable fashion, planning gives structure.
