Unit 19 explained how to go about teaching special groups. These groups include beginners, individual students, children, and business people. I learned the different types of beginners such as the adult beginner and the beginner without Roman alphabet as well as the various tips for teaching beginners. The unit gave suggestions on how to teach individual students as well as how to adjust the workload when teaching business professionals.Not having taught many classes in a structured fashion, this unit has offered insight into the structure that can make a class, and a teacher, successful. While I have personally participated in such classes as a student (of French as a foreign language), I was not mindful at that time of the thought that goes into lesson planning on the part of the teacher. Frankly, it is more involved than I had thought, but it makes good sense to me.
