I have planned many a lesson and have 18 years of experience in this area. I am enjoying learning a new set of vocabulary words in my own language to explain what I am currently doing with my students. It gives me a new way to think about it and gives me the opportunity to improve on what I do with my students every day. I am enjoying reflecting on my teaching practices and I look forward to implementing some new ideas.This unit covered the major evaluation methods of language learning and specifically of the English language. Formal tests can be divided in: placement tests, progress tests, diagnostic tests, practice tests, and general external examinations ranging from TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS to the general English Cambridge assessment tests. A general view of the more traditional testing methods will surely prove useful in days to come.
