Vocabulary, grammatical structures, language functions are essential parts of the language and this Unit gave a brief information about how these language parts should be taught. I found it interesting to know what students need and need not to know about new words and grammar patterns. Also the Unit reviews and gives an examples of ESA method in teaching these topics that makes you to understand the technique more thoroughly.Future tenses are one of the hardest things about English, in my opinion, due to its absence in other languages. Since my second language is Japanese and my students will most likely be Japanese, future tenses will be very important to clearly explain (since Japanese has no future tense). I was able to learn the correct terms and formations of each future tense and will allow me to effectively teach this topic in the future.
