Unit 10 showed the difference between an effective teacher and an ineffective one. During the first lesson the students were discouraged from participating, due to the teacher constantly saying how simple the lesson was. This made the students hesitant to answer his questions due to a fear of answering them incorrectly. In my opinion the most important part of this lesson was how the attitude of the instructor can make a significant difference in a student's ability to learn. In the second lesson the students felt a lot more comfortable around the teacher since he was smiling a lot more and much more lively. This created an environment where they weren't intimidated by their teacher and had the confidence to participate a lot more.
