Authentic and created materials are both needed to support the learning process. Authentic materials are more motivating and interesting for students. Learners gain confidence when they understand the books' content. Created materials engage students in different ways supporting the process of learning. There are different types of lesson materials such as: flashcards, crosswords, role-play cards or gap-fill activities.This unit covered the present tense. The unit divides the present tense into four sub categories. Those four sub categories are: 1) simple present, 2) continuous present, 3) present perfect, 4) continuous perfect. The unit contained instruction on the form, usage, typical mistakes, and teaching ideas for the activate stage for each of these tenses. I thought the unit was well structured, practical, and straight forward.
