Evaluation is both important to the teacher and the learner.The teacher can have a way of evaluating whatever she or he has taught per lesson.In most cases learners not like the teachers testing them though it may be for their benefit as well as the teachers benefit.Placement tests are important for the learnersif English as a second language since they can help the teacher to place the learner at his or her right level.From this unit I learned that teaching productive skills is equally important as teaching receptive skills and is a natural progression from them. I also learned that receptive skills can be a source of pride and worry for students. With speaking students worry about looking foolish more than when they write but speaking is also source of intense pride. Teachers need to be equally sensitive to these issues when teaching.
