This unit, through its content regarding the reasons and motives for listening and reading, provoked in me a better understanding of the various processes we undertake, sometimes without necessarily realising at the time, when viewing or listening to information.
Highlighting the aspects that assist with delivering a successful receptive skills based lesson was also enlightening.This unit was very interesting, I wasn't fully aware of the international phonetic alphabet. I know know the alphabet which is much easier when looking up potential meaning in the dictionary. It was also nice to get a better understaning about the place of articulation in our mouth, previous to this unit I was unaware of how to put into words all the different ways we articulate.
