Even though the previous unit on Theories and Methods had outlined the ESA approach to lesson delivery, I found that this unit improved my understanding of it. I especially like the Patchwork ESA approach as I can envision how this can help diversify lesson delivery so that students with varied needs are catered to. For example, with the Patchwork model, it's easy to revisit previous concepts to enhance learning.I learned that there are many different ways to pronounce words. Most of the time, words are not pronounced the way they are spelled. Native English speakers usually pronounce words differently from the way they are spelled because they sometimes link the words or change the sound with \"sound changing\". I also learned that the International Phonetic Alphabet is a good sound reference for English pronunciation.
