How to pronounce words in English was focused on by looking at intonation, stress and phonetics. This was a difficult topic as a native speaker as it comes naturally. When having to actively think about the word and sentence, I found that I had to focus more and use practice examples rather than simply reading. This gives an indication that students may also need more practice to understand rather than the simple theory.I found it very useful recapping on some of the content which we have already learnt. It was good to know that you can have a difference focus for each lesson i.e. vocabulary vs. grammar vs. language functions. It was good to have some guidelines regarding what vocabulary to introduce first/ when and what factors impact that decision. It was helpful recapping on the boomerang, straight arrow and patchwork ESA structures.
