This unit provided a lot of information about how to choose which book to use as a teaching aid and how to effectively use a book in the classroom. Books are useful because they provided a tried and true structure for learning a language while also providing helpful exercises. The key is to find the right book for your group of students while using many materials outside of just the book to help provoke further understanding.This unit was particularly helpful with the potential structure of a class as well as the potential methods of teaching. I found the many that I had experienced before and some others that i was unfamiliar with. The activity examples where very helpful as was the explanation of the different between mistakes and errors. I found the part on feedback in relation to errors and mistakes to be new to me and hence very interesting.
