This unit has been about Productive Skills like reading and writing. So often when considering teaching English, my focus has been on soeaking, and very little on writing. This unit gave me a realistic approach and outline of what I could do with students. I was also given a list of games I could potentially use with students. For the reasons I have stated, I feel better prepared for teaching abroad.This unit is important because it helps the teacher understand the several differences in past tenses. It is important to know when to use them so this way the teacher has a better understanding of the forms and it is able to teach in a correct way to the students. It is also important to the students so they are able to transmit the information in a correct way using the correct types of past tenses.
