I have learnt a fair amount from this lesson. I had never even heard of the word gerund before reading this. It was a lot of new information and it took a few days to process it all. I can understand how difficult this is for students as I struggle with it and I am a native English speaker. I almost feel as this could have been separated into two different units to give more attention to each section.This lesson gave me some more insight in the structuring of a lesson and the different options you have as a teacher. I see that there are important differences between speaking and the writing and that they should be approached differently. I think this unit made that very clear and I am starting to understand how the lessons are structured in general and how you can be creative with it as a teacher.
