In studying the present tense system, I found the recap and explanation of form, usages, typical errors and teaching ideas informative.
By learning the system for teaching purposes and not only ?learning? reasons has been enlightening, with repetition it will become less intimidating.
Also in knowing the typical errors made, I have learned how they can be corrected and understand a bit more as to why they are made.Unit 12 covered the productive set of skills: speaking and writing, and focused on activities for accomplishing accuracy and fluency in their use. Writing is an activity which is not practiced enough in the classroom, and I would like to incorporate its use in my lesson plans on a more regular basis than most. Accuracy and fluency can also be encouraged by reading, which is another skill I will focus on in the classroom.
