In this unit I have learned about conditionals. Conditionals are sentences that have 'if' or 'when' in them. They have 2 clauses, the 'if' clause and the main clause. There are 5 different types of conditionals and one of them is a mix of the other 4 conditionals. Also from this unit I have learned about how to derive the reported speech from the direct speech.This is interesting to read as it provides an insight to the different types of past tenses. Foreigners learning to speak English usually struggle with this and it is something that is difficult to explain as a native speaker as it is unknowingly done by the speakers. It is interesting to read and learn all about the different usage and forms of each of the tenses.
