Having precise categories with structural guidelines helps to teach students that may benefit from a more structured, compartmentalized understanding of language. For other students, mere practice speaking, listening and repeating shall suffice. But, it is crucial to be able to recognize the difference among students and lessons such as this facilitate this ability.This unit reiterates the phases of lesson planning. I found this unit very helpful in consolidating what I understand of the phases of lesson planning and I feel that I am able to form my own explanation of the structure of a lesson plan. I am now feeling confident that when the time comes to create my own lesson plan I will be able to complete the task competently.
