This unit covered how to teach special groups like business classes or young children. One of the biggest takeaways was that it may be helpful to do a needs analysis for a business class. This will help a teacher identify what the students or clients want to learn from the class. This will also help the teacher balance the client's wants and needs with those of the company.This unit focused on teaching special groups, namely beginners, children, Business English, English for Specific Purposes (ESP), as well as monolingual and multilingual classes. I found this section extremely informative and helpful as I am interested in teaching special groups and the pointers on how to teach and interact with different groups is both interesting and useful.
