I learned very little grammar during my formal schooling, and was glad to have these concise explanations of parts of speech, including examples. There were some aspects of speech that I had not previously considered until reading this information. I honestly had no idea what a gerund was prior to reading the explanation here, and feel happy to already be gaining practical information from this course.Unit 13 concerns with teaching pronunciation and phonology. It emphasises to the fact that students are equally concerned with pronunciation as to any other issue relating to learning a new language, however, teachers most of the time neglect this area of teaching either because they lack confidence to tackle this area or they are foreign teachers accordingly they as well have not learnt how to do it.
