This unit covered the various equipment and teaching aids that are potentially available to use for a lesson. It discussed how using a variety of teaching aids would make lessons more interesting, engaging students and helping them to retain what they have learnt. Some teaching aids and equipment help teachers manage their time better and allow the teacher to face the class more than using a traditional blackboard alone.The videos in this unit were incredibly effective in showing me the impact that the teacher's attitude can have on the success of the class. In the first video, I was able to pick out small details in the teacher's mannerism that may have made the students feel uncomfortable and dejected. Then I found some of those issues had been easily resolved in the second video. This unit showed me how much I can affect my students.
