The four basic skills in any language is reading, listening, speaking and writing skills which are all four equally important. Thus to teach all four skills to the students, you as teacher needs to motivate and create an interest to the students to develop these skills, and to expose the students to more of the language, the more they will learn, but we also need to help them through the difficult areas of these skills.Unit 9 covers why and how to write a lesson plan. Having taught previously, I understand the need for a plan so that you know where you are going and if you have reached your goal for the student. Being well prepared with several options for the activate phase gives the teacher greater opportunity to meet the specific needs of the student. Often times, the student's errors or questions will dictate which activity to use.
