Unit 16 discussed zero, first, second, third, and mixed conditionals along with direct and reported speech. I felt that I learned a lot about these subjects, but became a little confused with certain aspects such as the third and mixed conditionals and back-shifting some of the direct speech sentences. I guess I will have to see how I do after I receive the results and, if I need to revisit the unit, then I will do so.This unit covered the more advanced topics of modals, phrasal verbs, and passive voice. These advanced concepts are important to understand as a teacher of the English language for dealing with students who are working on understanding finer points of the english grammar. While most native English teachers can provide examples in how to use these words, knowing the grammatical rules will help students in their studies.
