This was an excellent case of what and what not to do. The students were visibly uncomfortable in lesson one. The attitude of the teacher in lesson two made all of the difference. The students felt like they were a part of to class and were eager to participate. Teacher one may know all that there is to know about the English language, but he failed terribly in providing an engaging and effective lesson for his students.This unit was useful for discovering what sorts of resources I can use in the classroom and to define what uses different tools have. The explanation about online sources will likely be used a lot once I start teaching. I am also going to ensure that I have a dictionary in the room for students to access in case. The advice about the cassette tape recorder and visual aids is going to be very useful in the future as well.
