in this unit we learn the importance not only to speak and writing in english but the more important listening and reading side. this side requires thought and interpretation of what the learned has just heard or read. along with the different levels involved in how we listen and read to ensure the level of understanding and retention. to understand the language is just as important as pronounce the words we are learning.This unit focused on techniques and strategies for teaching the two productive language skills: speaking and writing. The unit went over some of the struggles often associated with teaching these skills, especially with students who might be uncomfortable or shy when speaking in English. The unit also went through sample ESA lesson plans that a teacher could implement when teaching a lesson involving speaking and writing.
