The unit is based on the form, usage and the teaching ideas of past tenses. It explains the principles of applying the past tenses in a written language. By explaining various type of past tenses, the usage of each of them becomes clear. It is not only giving the explanations of the tenses, but also explaining typical student error and sample activate stage teaching ideas as in Unit 4. The unit 6 puts everything in order.Through Unit four which is focused on the past tenses,i have learned that the system and structure of past tenses is not too different from present tenses,except that past tenses obviously relate to past time periods.I equally learned the different parts of the past tense,the past simple,the past continuous ,the past perfect,the past perfect continuous their forms,typical work errors and mistakes and some teaching ideas.
