Unfortunately, I am learning that there is a lot more to teaching English than I thought. There are so many different teaching methods and one has to choose them based on personal preference (teacher´s personality type!), as well as level of the students, and the culture they come from. I am learning that this whole course might just be too much for my old brain....that TEACHING is not PASSIVE!This unit covered how to create a lesson plan and the reasons it's so important. An inexperienced teacher needs a lesson plan to keep themselves organized and to have a guide to refer to during a lesson. A more experienced teacher could also used notes or a lesson plan for this reason. A lesson plan is also a good way to keep a record of what has been taught and also what progress has been made.
