This unit gave me a good understanding of the many roles and responsibilities a teacher has towards his/her students. The unit also described the various types of students, their motivation and the advantages and the potential problems that may occur when teaching adults. We refresher our knowledge of the teaching skills (speaking, writing, reading and listening) and also looked at various teaching methods.This section shows teacher the wide use of course materials and teacher aid that are available. These tools help teachers provide a balanced and creative lesson. We can use authentic or creative materials both which depend on level of student and level of experience of the teacher. Course books can be used effectively by omitting, replacing, substituting and adapting certain styles and units to the content.
