This unit focuses on the types of educational theories that have been developed in the past, and the advantages and disadvantages of each. Also, this unit covers how teachers can specifically address reading ,writing, speaking, and listening components specifically to business clients (for example by having students scan for specific information in an issue of The Economist).During this lesson, I learned about teaching the two productive skills speaking and writing. I thought the portion of the lesson that distinguished between accuracy and fluency activities was most beneficial. It was helpful to learn about what my expectations as a teacher should be for my students in activities more focused on accuracy and activities more focused on accuracy.
